I haven’t given a painting away in awhile. I’ve not had the chance. Yesterday I had a long needed day off. I spent the entire day riding a bike under the sun and painting. I haven’t painted any tulips or a dogwood yet this Spring. I sat in the tall cool grass ate my lunch, and painted the two together. I had the most beautiful luncheon in the grass I can ever recall.

Lorissa, is the head of the youth ministries at the church near where I painted. She admired the work, so I gave it to her. Talking with her reminded me of how pivotal a youth leader can be. I was lucky enough to have Ken Harvey. How lucky that some kids in Boise have Lorissa.
